This was a very open ended final, and so I chose to produce an ethereal, indie style song completely from scratch.
I had so much fun making this. I vowed to not use any pre-made loops or samples, only the instruments and effects I had available on Ableton Live 11 Intro combined with a couple of plug-ins. Since completing this final, I have even revised the track and turned what I thought was a complete, perfect work into something even better.
IUI Halloween Promo Foley
I, along with a team of other Intermediate Audio students, got to provice foley sound for a halloween promo that was made by Luddy.
Luddy Land YT.mp4This project was a great group effort in the audio lab. Some interesting things used include my prius key fob in place of a video game controller and my wonderful hoodie being sacrificed for the sake of art (making muffled footsteps).
The task for this was to find a video of a creature and replace the audio for it. I chose to replace the audio from a scene of The Ritual.
Creature Sound Final Draft.mp4This was a very interesting project. On reflection I think I could have tweaked the twig snapping effects and made them more dramatic, rather than just little pops. I am extremely happy with the sound of the monster breathing.
We were assigned to make a sound effect to go along with a logo, making a brand introduction more interesting.
Sonic Branding.mp4I'm gonna be honest, I didn't put my heart and soul into this project. I could have made it a lot better by designing my own logo and doing an animation with it, but I went with adobe stock. I then loaded up Ableton, played a couple of chords and called it a day. I could have done a lot more, but I am not too upset with the final product.Â
